Step-by-Step Guide: How to Choose Your Seat on BookCabin

Choosing your seat on BookCabin is simple, intuitive, and hassle-free. Please note that Seat Selection is only available during online check-in, not when you book your flight. Simply complete your booking as usual, then select your preferred seat once online check-in opens.

Follow these easy steps:

1. Search for Your Flight

Open the BookCabin app or visit the official website. Enter your departure city, destination, travel date, and the number of passengers, then click Search Flights. Choose the flight and schedule that best suits your travel plans.

2. Enter Passenger Details & Complete Your Booking

Fill in each passenger's information accurately, ensuring it matches the details on their government-issued ID or passport.

3. Check In Online & Access Seat Selection

As your departure date approaches, return to the BookCabin app or website and complete your online check-in using your booking reference (PNR). Once check-in is available, the Seat Selection option will appear, allowing you to choose your preferred seat.

4. Understand the Cabin Layout

An interactive seat map will be displayed, making it easy to find your preferred seat. Each seat number consists of a row number and a seat letter:

• Row Number (e.g. Rows 1–30): Indicates the seat's location from the front to the back of the aircraft. Seats closer to the front allow you to disembark more quickly after landing.
• Seat Letter (A, B, C | D, E, F): Indicates whether the seat is by the window, in the middle, or by the aisle.

5. Choose Your Preferred Seat Type

Select any available seat directly from the cabin map. BookCabin offers five seat categories to match your travel preferences:

Click on any available seat from the cabin map. Depending on your preference, you can choose a paid seat or a free seat, where available.

Exclusive Free Seat Selection for Lion Group Flights

When you book Lion Air, Batik Air, Super Air Jet, or Wings Air through BookCabin, you can enjoy FREE Seat Selection during online check-in.

For comparison, if you book your flight through another platform, selecting your seat during online check-in may incur an additional fee. If you don't have a seating preference, simply choose Select Random Seat to receive an automatically assigned seat at no extra charge.

6. Review Your Seat Selection & Complete Payment

Double-check the selected seat for each passenger. If you've chosen a Paid Seat, the seat fee will automatically be added to your payment summary. Click Continue to Payment, then complete your purchase using your preferred payment method.

7. Find Your Seat on Your E-Ticket & Boarding Pass

Once your payment is confirmed, your e-ticket will be issued. Your selected seat number will be displayed on both your e-ticket and boarding pass, ready for your journey.

For domestic flights, BookCabin's Seat Selection feature offers five seat categories designed to suit different travel preferences and provide extra comfort. Here's an overview of each seat type and its starting fare:

Safety Requirements for Extra Leg Seats

As Extra Leg Seats are located next to the emergency exit, passengers seated in these rows must meet the airline's safety requirements and agree to the following conditions:

1. Be at least 18 years old and physically and mentally fit.
2. Be able to read, speak, and understand safety instructions in either English or Indonesian.
3. Not be pregnant or traveling with an infant or young child.
4. Not require a seatbelt extension.
5. Not be traveling with a pet or using a mobility aid, such as a cane or crutches.

For safety reasons, the airline or airport staff may reassign passengers to a different seat without a refund if they do not meet the eligibility requirements above.

Schedule Changes, Seat Changes & Refund Policy

Before purchasing a Paid Seat, please review the following terms and conditions:

• Seat Changes: Once your seat selection has been confirmed, it is final and cannot be changed to another seat.
• Airline-Initiated Refunds: Your seat selection fee is eligible for a refund if your flight is canceled by the airline, delayed by more than four hours due to operational reasons (irregular delay), or if an aircraft change results in your selected seat type becoming unavailable.
• Passenger-Initiated Changes: Refunds are not available if you voluntarily change or cancel your flight, or if you request a last-minute upgrade to Business Class.

BookCabin's Seat Selection service is available on selected partner airlines, making it easier to enjoy a more comfortable journey.

Seat Selection is currently available through BookCabin for domestic Lion Group flights, including Lion Air, Batik Air, Super Air Jet, and Wings Air. This feature is not available for international flights operated by Thai Lion Air and Batik Air Malaysia.

Citilink & Other Airlines

You can still book flights with Citilink, Garuda Indonesia, Pelita Air, AirAsia, Sriwijaya Air, and other partner airlines through BookCabin. However, seat selection and additional services (add-ons) should be purchased through the respective airline's official website or mobile app after your booking reference (PNR) has been issued.
